Mark Marshall
Mark Marshall began his career at CPC
Associates, a veteran visual effects house, in 1978. He soon joined
the Los Angeles arm of Lucasfilm Ltd., serving as production assistant on
THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK and RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, and as in-house
writer for the company’s newsletter, “Bantha Tracks” with a circulation of
more than one million subscribers. In 1984, he joined Amblin
Entertainment as personal assistant to Steven Spielberg. During that
time, Marshall assisted on a varied slate of projects including THE
GOONIES, THE COLOR PURPLE, EMPIRE OF THE SUN and INDIANA JONES AND THE
LAST CRUSADE as well as Mr. Spielberg’s AMAZING STORIES. In 1989,
Marshall served as production representative to producer/director Richard
Donner on HBO’s TALES FROM THE CRYPT. During hiatus on that series,
Marshall joined producer Jennie Lew Tugend in the production of RADIO
FLYER and LETHAL WEAPON 3. In 1992, Tugend tapped Marshall as
Associate Producer on FREE WILLY, a responsibility he continued on FREE
WILLY 2: THE ADVENTURE HOME. Due to his achievements on the first
two in the series, Marshall was recruited as Co-Producer on FREE
WILLY 3: THE RESCUE. In addition to his producing responsibilities,
he supervised all post-production and visual effects work on the trilogy.
Marshall also brought his considerable post-production experience to such
films as ASSASSINS, LIGHTNING JACK, STAR KID, MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE, Billy
Crystal’s 61* for HBO, HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER’S
STONE and recently, NEW YORK MINUTE. He is currently utilizing his production and
post-production experience on River Rock projects.
Mike Marshall
Mike Marshall, general partner in River Rock
Entertainment, LLC, has over fifteen years of experience in the field of
video production. In addition to owning his own companies, Mike has
worked for three television stations. One station, licensed to a college
in northeastern Oklahoma since 1987, continues to serve its viewing area
as a full-power, UHF facility. Mike was the station's first production
manager. The two other broadcasting entities, both in central Oklahoma,
include the state's only full-fledged public access cable caster, and one
station numbered among only a dozen licensed low power commercial
facilities in the country.
Mike has extensive experience in production
management and field production, and familiarity with non-linear
post-production primarily on an Adobe Premiere system. He has produced
over 200 hours of educational programming for broadcast, and has
co-produced a number of documentary projects.
During the 2003-2004 school year, Mike
taught at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma, as a
faculty member in the college's Mass Communications department. |
